Oktoberfest! Munich’s 16-day festival celebrating all things beer. Grab your Bavarian garb, crazy hats, pretzel necklaces, German Pfeffernüsse and brush up on your Ein Prosit – ’cause we’re celebrating at HooDoo.

BEER //
For the 3rd year in a row, we’re kicking off Oktoberfest just like the German’s do, at noon on Saturday Sept 19, when we’ll tap our German-style Oktoberfest Lager at noon with the Fairbanks Mayor. We’ll also have Oktoberfest in the Cask!

ART //
For the second year in a row, local artist Brianna Reagan was commissioned for our Oktoberfest art. The wonderful design will be featured on limited edition t-shirts and posters starting September 19th at 11am. Both will be available online the following week.

Ride the Rails on the HooDoo Choo Choo!

Once again, we’ve partnered with the Alaska Railroad and Lavelle’s Bistro to offer beer enthusiasts an evening of Oktoberfest-style fun aboard the HooDoo Choo Choo beer train. The train will depart Fairbanks at 4 p.m. Saturday Sept. 26 for an evening of brew sampling aboard a round trip rail journey to Nenana.

The HooDoo Choo Choo offers passengers the atmosphere of a beer festival in a truly unique setting: traveling through Interior Alaska aboard the Alaska Railroad. The experience is completed with our specialty brews, hors d’oeuvres from Lavelle’s Bistro and a fun crowd of beer connoisseurs. This year, we will also have door prizes and each passenger will receive a commemorative stein.

Oktoberfest Art Auction to Benefit Creamer’s Field

To commemorate Oktoberfest 2014, we commissioned an original piece of art by the amazing Brianna Reagan and we’ve partnered with our friends at FairbanksAlaska.com to auction the stunning watercolor for a great cause, Friends of Creamer’s Field! Friends of Creamer’s Field is a local nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving the 2,000-acre dairy-farm-turned-wildlife-refuge that surrounds the Alaska Department of Fish and Game offices on College Road.

FAIRBANKS — Hoodoo Brewing Co. is going German — more so than ever before.

Oktoberfest is a 16-day festival in Munich, Germany, celebrating all things beer. Hoodoo, the locally owned brewing company in Fairbanks’ industrial district, is getting in on the fall festivities with the release of a new brew and activities planned at the brewery at 1951 Fox Ave.
